Purple Poppy

Logo Design

The Purple Poppy Logo design process started with thinking of characteristics that represented the feeling of the store, which felt as High-End Clothing that was also very preppy, playful and colorful. I also wanted to use the Poppy flower as the main element to give the logo a ‘Pop’ or ‘Burst’ mirrored from the assortment and variety of clothing they carried. The customized ‘Poppy’ handwritten font I felt had to showcase the playfulness of the store, but would also be a contrast from the Serifed font used for ‘Purple’ as well as the Sans Serif font used for the locations. Once again, to give it a pop and a burst to draw attention and bring focus to the overall logo.

The Main Logo was then taken and simplified even further for printing, as well as a text-only version for multi-purpose use.
